[ Hope ]

The Hope initiative is a practical demonstration of love in action. It is a response to our recognition that whilst Plymouth is an amazing city to live in, it is not without its desperate need for radical change and lifelong compassion.

Plymouth remains a city of shocking inequality, with the average life expectancy varing by as much as 12 years from one postcode to another. A city where your postcode can determine whether you get to live over a decade longer doesn’t seem right – we’re sure you’d agree. One aspect of this inequaltiy is food poverty. There are people, including parents and children, waking up in our city not sure where their next meal will come from.

To help address this need in our city we collect food weekly on a Sunday morning to then donate to organisations that we have a personal relationship with, such as Plymouth Domestic Abuse Service. If you need more information or know someone who would benefit from a Box of Hope please get in touch using the form at the bottom of this page.
